Now Hiring: Packaging Engineer

Job Description

The Packaging Engineer is primarily responsible for the project management aspect
of packaging. This includes working with vendors and brand managers to develop
new packaging die-lines, coordinating artwork with graphic designers, coordinating
packaging due dates, vendor ETA’s, copy changes, proofs and consistency across our
packaging.

Other responsibilities include:

  • Working closely with the Brand Managers to help manage all components of packaging such as product inserts, back cards, clear boxes etc. and making sure all
    new products coming in are accounted for.
  • Responsible for all copy and features being consistent and error free across all product lines and descriptions.
  • Maintain relationship with Vendors and Product Development to stay on top of ETA’s and new products.
  • Facilitates and expedites the packaging review process.
  • Responds to all company requests for packaging changes, packaging comps, making required changes.
  • Maintain proper revision numbers on labels and coordinate the label reorder process for unchanged labels directly with the Purchasing Manager/Creative Director.
  • Communicate with the department heads to ensure all new or changed packaging information is properly communicated to all departments.
  • Coordinates with the Marketing team members to assure that sufficient and reasonable lead times are in place for each new or changed packaging to be available when needed for use in bottling and kit assembly processes.
  • Coordinates all new packaging review and approval processes.
  • Ability to adapt well to quick changes.
  • Strong attention to detail needed for SKU and product code proofing.

Case-mate has an opportunity available for a Customer Service Representative to join our growing team.  Team members are responsible for providing telephone, email, and online chat service to customers requiring assistance with product questions, sales, and order processing.  The customer service representative is the voice of case-mate.  If you are not passionate about providing outstanding service – please don’t apply!

The candidate for this position must be available to work 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM Saturday through Wednesday.

  • Thorough and accurate resolution of all customer inquiries by phone, email, and chat.
  • Assists customers answering product questions and placing telephone orders.

  • Documents all requests and inquiries in the customer service database in a concise and understandable format, ensuring that all appropriate customer transaction information is recorded properly.
  • Escalates unresolved customer issues, with all pertinent information included, to management as needed.

  • Demonstrates initiative to gain product knowledge to fully understand features and customer needs.
  • Willing to work extra hours as needed.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Outstanding customer service skills.
  • Minimum 1 year telephone customer service contact center experience required. Experience in an e-commerce environment preferred.

Responsibilities Include:

Departmental Management

  • Provide leadership, vision, and management to the IT department
  • Oversee the IT strategic plan and make sure it aligns with company goals

RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

Responsible for developing and executing the strategic plan for the supply chain function including the purchase and procurement of materials, parts, supplies, and equipment. Develops and executes the strategy for supply chain function to aggressively reduce the cost of key materials, components and subsystems, reduce material lead times and inventory requirements and associated working capital needs. Must be familiar with current trends, practices and metrics in global supply chain management.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION:

4-year degree preferred with minimum 5-7 years production control/supply chain management experience. Experience with purchasing, expediting, MRP/ ERP systems, quality/continuous improvement initiatives, manufacturing safety practices and MS Office applications.

The optimal candidate should be a highly motivated, results driven, change management experienced, leadership proven professional with a track record of successful delivery (product, cost and inventory optimization) who can align and interconnect departments to maximize corporate capital efficiency.

The VP Supply Chain would set and oversee purchasing protocol, improve material management and logistics, and maximize MRP systems. S/he would correctly balance and minimize inventory investment, setting controls based on demand forecast versus actual sales. It is expected that the VP Supply Chain should have strong inventory management and MRP systems knowledge and strong analytical capabilities across all key supply chain metrics both process, execution and financial metrics.

Experience with SAP and/or major ERP / MRP systems and processes a plus.
